Charity Stud Auction ReviewMarch 27, 2021
The popular event surpassed all expectations as The Corscaron Stud teamed up with Sellhorse to host a commemorative charity event.
12 Stallion services kindly donated by their respective owners came together in an Online Auction event raising £3592 for the Charities Bowel Cancer UK & Tir Dewi.
The amount has now been deposited to the Just Giving page set up by Dafydd Hughes to collect the funds raised from the event. Sellhorse gladly offered their services free of charge for this great cause.
2020 marked 40 years since the first Corscaron Horse was registered said Dafydd Hughes of the Corscaron Stud.
We had grand plans for an open day/night to celebrate, but for obvious reasons this had to be postponed. Again this year we had hoped to do an anniversary event, but with things looking unclear for mass gatherings at the moment, it is proving, yet again, difficult to organise.
Rather than wait and potentially miss out again this year, we have decided to go ahead with the planned charity auction and also do a few different things over the summer.
The first auction is for 12 stallions services, with some fantastic and rare opportunities to buy a service to a selection of Royal Welsh winners and Hoys Qualified ponies including sires to supreme champions and sale toppers, some of which are not at public stud!!
We have decided to raise money for 2 charities, Bowel Cancer UK and Tir Dewi, both charities have been a great help to us and we felt like we wanted to give something back.
A sincere thanks to all who have contributed or donated a Stallion to support and make this event a success.

The top Stud fee raised was for the Royal Welsh, George Prince of Wales Cup Winner, Cascob Brenin Dafydd, reaching £680, with each stallion playing its part securing successful bids for the charity pot.
